We are excited to announce an online web competition open to all schools attending the 2006 showcase.

We want the competitors to collect the pieces of the puzzle and “break the code” to create a character who represents an Information Technology role model.

Who are the role models of the Information Technology industry?
What do they do?
Where do they work?
Where do they go?
What do they look like?

At the end of the project we want you to produce a graphical representation of the character presented as an animation, a poster or other digital method.

Watch this space - further details of the competition will be posted shortly

The task will be fully resourced so students can work independently or in class with teacher support. Students will have approximately three weeks from the start of term one to complete the task before the Showcase in March.

The finalists’ work will be showcased as part of the Go Girl, Go for I.T. Careers Showcase.

For more information on the competition, contact Rie Chase by email at, riechase@bigpond.com.
