Women are I.T. wish to acknowledge with gratitude the strong support we have received from our Patron, Dr Geoff Gallop MLA, who resigned today, due to illness, from his position as Premier of Western Australia. All of those involved in the Go Girl, Go for I.T. Careers Showcase, wish Dr Gallop all the best for a complete recovery.

The Honourable Dr Geoff Gallop, MLA, and Premier of Western Australia is an avid supporter of our objectives. His support reinforces the importance of young women entering careers in the I.C.T. industry. Women contributing to a strong workforce in I.C.T. will ensure WA increases its participation in the knowledge driven economy.

By building the skills and capabilities of our industry here in Western Australia, there are clear benefits to our state economy, and it is through initiatives such as this, that Go Girl, Go for I.T. is able to support Dr Gallop in achieving his goals in the success of our local community by increasing our competitiveness in the national and international marketplaces.
